When I was rescued from a shelter, VPFP called me “Rufus” but my foster mom calls me “Jib” because she thinks my ears belong on a sail boat! I love my foster mom, but I want a fur-ever home, too. I am less than a year old and full of puppy energy, so I need a home with a fenced-in yard and people that will take me for long walks every day or teach me to go running with you.  I sit quietly while my foster mom puts my harness on and she says I am perfectly behaved on a leash. If I don’t burn off my puppy energy daily then I get mischevious around the house – I am a curious pup and can’t help it.   I am learning to “kennel” on command and to like my crate because my foster mom showed me that it is my safe place for when she feeds my fur-sisters, leaves the house or can’t watch me closely.  I am getting to be very good at letting my foster mom know when I need to go outside.  She gives me treats every time I come back in, so sometimes I ask to go outside just to get more treats. Yes, I am that smart.  I’m starting to learn “sit”, “down” and “off”, too, but I am still a pup, so I need a person that will keep helping me learn.  I would love a home with patient fur-siblings that want to play with me.  I try to play with my foster doggie fur-sisters, but because I get really excited they let me know that I am annoying sometimes. As you can see, I am a great catch and if you are looking for a pup with a personality as big as my ears to be part of your family, please give me a chance. Love, Jib.
